Creates Sustainable Communities
It is no secret that safety on our roadways is beneficial for both drivers and pedestrians. Camp Creek Parkway is a major artery serving as the major gateway to and from the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Located south of I-20, Camp Creek Parkway is a valuable corridor for not only patrons of the airport but also for the trucking industry. This vibrant 12 mile corridor allows major industrial hubs, corporate headquarters, esteemed residents and engaged shoppers to have easy access to entities for both your personal and professional needs. The popularity of this area caused us to address small bottleneck challenges right at the I-285 and Camp Creek Parkway intersection. Thus, we consulted with Kimley-Horn & Associates to design a bridge and landscaping enhancements to create a distinctive gateway for the area. We are grateful to our partners: GDOT, the City of College Park, the City of East Point and Fulton County for working to make this a success.

DDI Bus Tour
We had the pleasure of taking our ATL Airport Community Improvement Districts’ Board Members on a tour of the Diverging Diamond Interchange in February of this year. Our Board Member, Dr. Stuart Gulley, President of Woodward Academy, provided the use of one of their school buses to drive us through the new DDI. Representatives from GDOT accompanied us to offer insight on the DDI and answer any pertinent questions.
